Layering the first step to staying warm in cold weather but if you get WET all chance of being toasty warm goes out the window. When deciding on which winter-wear to buy make sure you are buying the right product for your lifestyle. If you are planning on staying warm while doing a variety of different activities with varying weather, make sure your jacket or coat is WATERPROOF or at least water resistant. That way if the snow fall turns from pretty soft flakes to sloppy wet hail-like stuff you will be sure to stay warm even if it’s wet out. Read the rest of this entry » »
#1 – Cold Weather Activities
Cold weather activities are pretty much a staple of life for us here in the Upper Peninsula and it gets PRETTY COLD up here. Don’t just stay inside all winter long to avoid the cold weather….embrace it! We have got some good ways to stay warm this winter and here is the first. GET UP AND DO SOMETHING! Get warm by getting outside and getting some exercise. Cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snow boarding, jogging, sledding or skating can all be great activities to do on a beautiful Winter day. Be sure and bundle up with good layering pieces, pick an activity and get outdoors! Read the rest of this entry » »
